I upgraded to the Helvi after issues with a previous welder and have not been disappointed. Having used a pulse MIG I would not go back to a standard MIG for the work I do, the welds are clean with negligible spatter.
The first thing I noticed is how well the welder seems to be made, the 4 wire feed rollers are all gear driven for consistent feeding, swapping from a large wire spool to a small one is simple and swapping from welding steel to Aluminium is easy with 2 torches, may be only 2 minutes.
Understanding the settings from the manual took a little trial and error. In pulse MIG the right knob seems best set close to weld throat thickness rather than material thickness but basically adjusts current and the left knob seems to adjust voltage. Compared to double pulse MIG the welder is quite hot but produces very nice welds.
Swapping to aluminium with pulse MIG there is no straight Al material selection but AlMg worked fine (using program 21 & 1mm wire) welding 0.8mm and up on standard extrusions, in fact I was surprised how easy it was to weld 3mm bar to 0.8mm wall tube with no hint of burn through.
The 2 things I miss are wire feed (without gas) and gas purge without wire feed, although the latter is easily achieved by relieving the tension on the rollers.
A nice to have would be double pulse (pulse on pulse) like you would set for pulse TIG for welding with reduced heat input.
