KCD Portable Stud Welder CD66

The CD66 is a compact, portable capacitor discharge (CD) stud welder designed for fast, clean welding of threaded studs and pins onto metal surfaces. It’s ideal for light fabrication, sheet metal work, signage, HVAC, electrical panels and on-site installation where mobility and speed are essential.

The CD66 can weld a wide range of common industrial materials, including:

The CD66 supports contact mode and gap mode:

• Contact mode: The stud is in direct contact with the workpiece before discharge – ideal for quick, repeatable welding on flat, clean surfaces.

• Gap mode: The stud is held slightly off the surface and then driven in by the discharge – useful for less-than-perfect surfaces or where better control of penetration is needed.
